The amount of RAM and the speed of your CPU will determine the overall characteristics of your computer. For larger sample sets, you not only need a large amount of RAM but you also need fast RAM modules which can increase the maximum amount of polyphony your virtual pipe organ can play. For convolution reverberation and other computationally intensive tasks, you also need a fast CPU and a fast RAM.
