How to update a product

The updates of IA products are made in a very simple way. For the virtual pipe organ products for Hauptwerk, you only need to download one single update package whichever version you are using. Even if you are unsure just download the package starting with the name UPDATE... or LATEST... and install that to make your product up to date.

Notes to the Kispest Organ Professional Edition (discontinued)

The Kispest organ contains 3 pipe organs (stereo, quad, adjustable) each independently installable. All files for each pipe organ should be downloaded before the installation can be started as the RAR files are continuously binded to each other. Although there are multiple files to be downloaded for each of these 3 organs, Hauptwerk installer will only display 2 installable packages: one for the data and one for the organ. For your convenience the large data folder is split into multiple files which the Hauptwerk installer will combine automatically. So there is no need to install multiple data packages any more. It is recommended to first install this data package (once you downloaded all files for it) and then install the organ package afterwards.

Notes to the PAB Medium Edition download delivery access (before version 3.0)

The first 6 packages (1-6) are required packages to start/load the organ properly. These first packages install the "concert hall acoustics", and the notes required for the cathedral reverb. Packages numbered from 7 to 18 are optional. They install 2 versions of cathedral acoustics and so they are organized into two 6-package updates. Packages numbered from 7-12 install the cathedral acoustics (sCSA version) and packages numbered from 13-18 install a slightly longer reverb cathedral acoustics (CSA). Their RAM requirement is the same. Both of these cathedral reverbs come as an update to the first 6 packages. The sCSA edition is preferred by most of the users.

This means that you get 3 types of different acoustics: concert hall, shorter reverb cathedral acoustics (sCSA) and longer reverb cathedral acoustics (CSA).

Since packages from 7 to 18 are optional, it is also possible that you install only packages 1-6 (concert hall acoustics) and 13-18 (longer cathedral reverb). Once you install the first 6 packages with the concert hall acoustics, you can install either 6-12 or 13-18 or both.

These additional packages are prepared as "updates" for the first 6 packages, so when you install 1-6 and then 7-12 and then attempt to install 13-18, these last 6 packages will be displaying "Re-install" by the Hauptwerk installer even though if that is your first install -- this is normal, please do not worry, just click OK to continue as Re-install and all three acoustics will be installed properly.

Notes to the PAB Extended Edition retail box and download delivery access (before version 3.0)

The Extended Edition requires installing the Professional Edition first. If you already have this installed, you will only need to install the packages named IA_PAB_EXT... There are 9 packages all together. To ensure all required content is installed it is very important to install these nine packages in their numbered order as their file name suggests.
